Ya I'm going to put lots of cardboard and bubble wrap in as well. The empty water bottles were to fill the 'dead space' so to speak. The kart is a used one - I've completely stripped the frame and packed all the ancillaries in their own boxes [which are also internally padded and packaged] - and there are also some engine components there as well. I think I'll just leave it resting on the pallet so that at least it can be moved around by the domestic freight forwarders. As you say, they'll probably re-position it anyway to fit on the aircraft irrespective of what I do, but hopefully, hopefully, they don't re-orient it vertically or turn it upside down. I'll definitely mark the box as extremely fragile and not to be transported one way up only. As you're probably aware, with such a heavy weight inside a cardboard box, its not too difficult at all for it to burst through the box if badly handled.
Fingers crossed there'll be no trouble... it's got to go to the other side of the world.
Thanks again for all your help there.
