Hi Andy, we did fine on Sunday it was the unpredictable weather that was the hard part one minuet nice warm sunshine next minuet it would hammer it down. Heat 3 for the cadets was mayhem on the dummy grid (hence the missing wheels in the thread above, someone in all the cahos has picked them up in error). As for the final we did ok qualified 7th for the B final got into 4/5 place with a couple of laps to go and noticed my lad was on the carb then again and again I just knew what was going to happen and it did he flooded the engine coming out of the last corner to the start finish of all places richer richer richer flooded! I was a tad annoyed at the time but we had a laugh about it later, it just seems sometimes that the only way we seem to learn is the hard way! He was at wombwell last we and it was very warm and he was on the carb then making it richer which in the heat would be the correct way to go, he said he could feel it pull so he just assumed it was the correct way to go, but shenny on Sunday was cool and wet/damp.In the long term I think this has done more good than harm.
Got enough races under our belt now to go for our national A licence so we should be comming off our novice plates after whilton. Gabe did well on Saturday practise starting mid/front but seems to hold back when starting at the back, don't get me wrong the novice tropies are great for the kids but in the long term are abit of a folly also we don't want to known as a "forever novice" they seems to be alot of those about.
See you at the weekend.
Best regards,
Bucky.
