You can't just say it's the drivers who need to take the responsibility otherwise what happens is exactly what Traxtar has witnessed and no matter how bad the driver in question is we do not want to see that sort of thing at race tracks. How are kids supposed to learn right from wrong when we have things like that going unpunished and driver coaches advising on the best place on a track to punt somebody off?

No points is just stupid, it's effectively like saying that the problem is so bad that the powers that be haven't got time to enforce the rules anymore and have just given up. The problem will only get worse without real punishments handed out.

What's needed are camera's positioned at the hot spots, the film footage needs to be made available from each camera at the end of each race to the competitors themselves and the competitors themselves can sift through all the footage and if they feel they have been rammed off unfairly then they can then go up and protest with evidence on a usb stick. It should be up to the competitors to ensure that the footage is presented correctly. This would eliminate the need to monitor the camera's and would give the competitor proof of foul play. If the evidence is clear cut then the accused should get punished. If the evidence is not clear cut then there should be no punishment.

I've marshalled for a day and it is incredibly difficult to wave flags whilst trying to spot bad driving and if you do spot it it's over so fast that you only have a split second to do something about it as you have to be ready with eyes watching for the next time they come around. I think camera footage would have made the job easier because no matter how sure you are about what happened at the end of the day you were the only person to see it and if somebody starts to question what happened then it would make the job easier if there was some evidence to back up what you saw.
