When I did a year of testing in 125 ICC at Kimbolton we were running 22 kg underweight. When we got onto the pace of the top club drivers they started saying it'd be different when we ran to weight.

Next practice session we lobbed 24kg of lead on (which was a job in itself!!), went two tenths faster than I'd ever been round there!!

Light doesn't always mean fast, but some would say if you've been lucky and placed the weight in the right place it can dramatically improve the overall balance, therefore bringing your times down that way
