super 1 is only 7 rounds anyway. What Martin was suggesting is that no super 1 competitor is allowed on track until the saturday practice sessions to stop teams and drivers spending sometimes everday on the build up to a race on track setting up their karts, using countless sets of tyres and fresh engines in the process.

If you are not allowed on track until saturday it gives the dads running their kids and self financed drivers a better chance to compete as everyone has the same track time, using fewer tyres and not neededing extra engines (either rented or bought).

Testing most tracks finishes 4-6pm anyway so yes there is loads of time to set up.

Also, karting needs more club level competitors so if the only way to test was to pay the local club entry and practice fee's would that not be a benefit rather than a negative? More drivers on the grid and more money for the clubs to invest, PLUS lowering the cost of national competition so the talanted club racer can have the chance to be able to afford to race the national championship!

Martin Hines is suggesting a way to bring costs down, how is that in anyway a bad thing?
