There is a video on youtube for the build up to the first round at PF where they are interviewing Martin Hines about the problems with top level karting and he has some very compelling ideas.

Similar to the easykart layout he suggests no testing at each circuit 2 weeks prior to the race weekend, and each round runs over 2 days and not 4 which the bigger teams are doing at the moment. No-one allowed on site until the friday night so plenty of time to set up and no time off work or school just to test for two days.

Sounds like a good cost saving plan to me, what do the rest of you think?
