IMO cost is only a symptom of the problem not the cause, the real fault is with the structure of the MSA and the sport in general that is allowing businessmen, rather than true enthusiasts, to make the rules and steer the direction of the sport for their own short term profit.

Nothing wrong with people making money from promoting kart racing series. But there should be a British Championship that is run by a not for profit body to find the countries best drivers, present and future.
