Accounting for total spend (rebuilds etc), Ł250. In terms of cash outlay on the day, Ł150. That's racing once or twice per month with a good level of maintenance.

If you want to be consistently competitive, Ł500-Ł1000 per meeting depending on what and where you race. It will be more to run at the front of a National Championship for a season and more again to make life comfortable whilst you're doing it. You have to be totally on top of your game in terms of driving, setup, preparation etc to stay competitive; you cannot discount all the practice days from your cost of racing for the season.
