Make a note of your childs licence number,the kart chassis number,engine number and seal number,you will need these at signing on.Pre-race scrutineering is mainly safety related,make sure your race kit is legal and that you take helmet,overalls,gloves and boots as well as the kart to scrutineering! Make sure the kart is up to date legally i.e brake disc protector,that the brake works correctly without too much travel and that nothing is loose and there is little or no play in any of the bearings etc.They may also check ground clearance of the bodywork.Whatever you do never argue or contradict the scrutineer,youll just get his back up,thank him and put right anything they pick up on.
