Here's the difference:
My gillard has "diagonal" lower steering column mounts. Here's a picture: http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk60/Attack2001/Gillard01020062.jpg
This intrepid has the parallel bars: http://photos.motoiq.com/MotoIQ/Features/Family-Karting/karting-027/947715374_rxqh2-X2.jpg
Now if your kart has the parallel bars then you can use one that mounts to the bars like this: http://www.kartstore.co.uk/detail.cfm?item_id=769&cat_id=1662
If however you have diagonal bars like me, then you need to use a set that you bolt to the floor tray like this: http://www.kartstore.co.uk/detail.cfm?item_id=995&cat_id=1662
I hope that makes it a bit more understandable? I'd definitely recommend getting some though, made me feel more comfortable in the kart, probably because it kept my feet still. They also helped when i had quite a spectacular crash and ended up performing a 360 in mid air out on to the main straight, i believe i would have come out of the seat if i didn't have the heel rests to brace against. Hope this helps, Thomas...........
