Thanks for all the help/comments... I'm glad its been a bit of a talking point. To satisfy some of your curiousity with the engine, it looked to have a weber carb, and an R logo on the side of the engine.
I thought it might be worth 20 quid., just to clean all the grime off and sort out little problems would give me something to do on an evening. I didn't realise the cart was as old as I am though!
I'm 30 this year, and want another hobby other than going on the pc. I don't mind mechanical jobs and have quite a bit of mechanical (amuteur) knowledge.
I can drive myself to venues and would be interested in the odd competition.
So any suggestions on a good starter vehicle or where to look would be appreciated..oh and I'm in Halifax west yorks.
