The chassis has welds around the seat stays, on the rear pod bar mounts, on the right rear bumper tube, and you can see the chassis is twisted a lot, as the left hand side bumper tube sits about an inch off the ground, and the right one about 5mm. The measurements on the stub axle mounts also show that the right hand one sits about 20mm higher than the other.
There's pictures here for you to look at:

I bought the chassis a while ago, and then put it in the workshop ready to be put together but the funds never became available, and it was only the other day i realised all this, so i have no way of contacting the seller as i've no longer got his details or address. But i never asked if it was welded, but would of thought a chassis in this state he should have at least said it has some welds on it in the advert listing.
But after a phone call to paul carr racing, and discovering they don't produce them anymore, (sidewinders, or venoms in general or have any ex-works chassis' lying around, me and my dad have decided to buy a CIK Rolling chassis instead of all this mucking around building them because i need to get out there and practice, not sit around waiting for a complete kart. So i ask does anyone have any views on the Gillard 010? Is this a good chassis? are we going to be miles off the pace in TKM with this or is there any advantages?
Finally, ian i understand the rules, but i was quite annoyed at the time, and couldn't find any available and was just thinking how much further away i was now from getting back out there again. I apologise, and it won't happen again.
Thanks, Thomas..............
