I suggest you try transferring the footage to another computer to try that first.

We have experienced situations where it will not recognise the file to play it at first, then recognises it later and plays it okay, but that is mainly on laptops that are a few years old.

The new laptop bought specifically for the GoProHD footage seems to work perfectly well each time. The only issue we seem to have now is when the camera runs out of battery before or during the race because it wasn't fully charged, has no recording capacity because the camera has recorded every session and not been downloaded to a laptop, or deleted via the camera menu, or the camera has recorded pictures every 5s or so (this is an optional menu setting), rather than video.

Hannah Edwards is now our GoProHD expert and collates all the camera footage we use on TV. Ask Hannah if you have any problems to check the footage plays okay on the laptop we are using for this purpose. She can also give you the laptop spec. we are using.

I will be at Rowrah and can advise on the camera settings this weekend.
