There is much wrong with karting these days. One of these things was the loss of a British Championship being held for every class. This was due to when the MSA decided that we weren't a sport in our own right any more, but merely the bottom rung of the motor racing ladder, they had to invite the British Championship winners to their annual award ceremony. They then decided that there were too many karters going along to the annual MSA prizegiving to recieve their awards, so most classes were culled from having a British Championship! If we are to have only one senior D/D British Champion, then as a matter of principle it should not be a one make commercial class, but the fastest CIK open/multi-make class. If they want Rotax to have a British Champion, then they should let every class have one, just like "the good old days"!
