This is something that is very much personal preference. It takes quite a bit of practise you get the release correct as you still have to hit the peddle hard initially then back off as you start to turn and release before you hit the apex. You will therefore have to test it and see what you think.
The benefits are you can brake later and therefore have an opportunity to overtake. Also it gives the feeling that the kart is more stable through the corner. The downside, however, is a quicker entry speed results in a slower exit. So like most things in karting it is always a balance and learning to do both has its advantages.
Big tip though - it doesnt work in the wet!
