I chose the product that gives me the biggest grids and best competition. Thats Rotax, I dont like it but what else is there? The alternatives aren't appealing.
I don't think people should be compelled to race Rotax and I crave a better alternative. KF classes are too much like Rotax in my opinion - powervalves, clutches balh blah blah.
TKM missed the boat - I have raced TKM - I found it too slow compared to the 100cc karts I was racing at the time - but I still think it's the best budget class in terms of driving/budget, its just faar too poorly supported.
Formula Blue - again not appealing, all that restrictor nonsense.
Big grids have always had their fair share of bad driving. I think the introduction of plastic bodywork has allowed more dangerous manouveres and some lazy clerks have allowed this to occur.
I am of the opinion of as few classes as possible whilst still retaining some degree of "choice" (budget/performance). When you win you know you have beaten everyone, it doesn't give people the opportunity to "hide" in poorly supported half-cocked classes.
Let the manufacturers fight it out within the respective disciplines like it used to be instead of all this one make rubbish. Do you seriously think there are NOT enough classes?
