This is getting even stranger.

You chose a product that you do not like because that puts you among the largest group, and now you wish to compel anyone else considering coming in to do the same or to stay out.

Apart from doubting that BRP achieved its success on the basis of people generally disliking its Rotax product, there is the fact that Rotax was a fringe product once upon a time, too. One of today’s fringe products, or another yet to appear on the market, will be tomorrow’s Rotax – if there’s any future in motorsport at all. You cannot bolt the door and say this is the way it stays … forever. No development, no future; that’s for sure.

As for just half a dozen on a grid: if it suits those drivers and it suits the club/venue at that particular time and place, who’s the loser?
Besides, as SimonS eloquently described, big grids have their own problems. Not everyone wants to enter a demolition derby. Some just want to have some enjoyable leisure time – with a product they like.
