To give more info.

Rather than come on here and just bitch rule changes and doing nothing about it. I contected the MSA, I raised my objections to the total ban. I understood the safety concerns surrounding these having discussed it with Paul Klassen at S1.

I suggested one alternative to the Metal protectors and gave the details to the MSA.

In response the MSA are discussing the alternative solution with the manufacturer with a view on making an decision in March.

The MSA are duty bound to give 6 months notice of a rule change unless it is on grounds of safety. As they have already deferred the decission they cannot really impose a sudden change on the grounds of safety.

There by adequate, I would say in this case the definition is 6 months.
