.......I have to agree with Alfie, I think you are all being had!!!
On board cameras are great on a few karts for TV footage, it can even provide good TV viewing if the on board kart gets taken out or has a shunt, but I fail to see how on board cams are going to prove conclusive when you have up to 10 or 15 karts hitting the first couple of corners as one and, that is where most of the trouble tends to happen, once the race is, say, three laps in and the drivers are spread out, a one eyed observer with a squint could spot who the fault lay with in the event of an incident, so by then, why would they be needed......???
Just seems another unneccessary expense to me, and as Alfie also says, if they haven`t been needed or used for all this time, why now?
I don`t believe driving standards are suddenly worse than they were, lets say 10, or even 5 years ago. Maybe some will say, if the technology is there, lets use it.
I personally prefer the old saying, a fool and his money are soon parted.
