Yes hideous.

Trouble is there is very little space on a kart where it wouldn't interfere with something, on a bracket atop of radiator (if you have one) is not bad, but won't show the nose the way the nassau panel mount does.

Go Pro must be laughing, or have shares in CIK, or maybe its the other way around.

The best, is not with a Go Pro baby brick, it would be bullet style, Go Pro's major competitor has a much less obtrusive bullet style, using much of the same electronics, and helmet mounted which would have the advantage of adding what drivers point of view was where you can tell where his attention was, and what hands were doing, (and perhaps an indication of his feet, maybe), some of the current generation of cameras are light enough (i.e. no mass) to pose no danger in karting, which must be the case cos on the nassau these will be getting knocked off fairly regular, and as helmet impacts with anything is so rare (how many times have you had to bin a accident damaged lid, you'd be lucky if you lose a lid once in 3 or 4 years?) and at the same time how many nassau panels have you damaged in shunts, as I'm guessing you're also paying for the replacement cameras as well...

I'd say helmet mounted are best, but I doubt you'll get many scrutineers willing to put his head above the parapet to let you run cameras on helmet, on "safety grounds", which they may have trouble explaining in light of having them mounted on the nose.

Ultimately with an engineering head on, and some forethought, which might still happen, you would integrate the camera into the nassau panel, mount it in behind and have the lens looking out through a hole, maybe through your number is, out and down.
