To answer some other questions. In the long term it is worth the initial expense to buy one. Some charge as much as Ł10 to hire so if you only use it once a month it will pay for itself in a season of racing. Also the transponder mumber, on the little yellow box is yours alone. Saves time with signing on and filling entry forms.
On the AMB TranX 160 there is a little light which shows red when charging and green when charged. The green light flashes a sequence for the number of days the charge will last. The ones we have last six days, and are about six years old, still going strong.
