the majority of the field are running on zips. theres no way in hell that these parents are going to change their bodywork, unless it is made mandatory FACT! (otherwise it would already of happened) this isnt something that has just been brought to light. Parents would not think twice about buying a new set of slicks for a race or some new part that is going to give some benefit to their lap times, but they wont spend the money on this incase they lose out in some way, which is sad.
As for not letting your kid race, well, than you are simply punishing you child for the selfishness of others. It would take most or all of the grid to boycot the race and again thats just not gonna happen. we run an intrepid that has a flat nosecone, it would not make any difference if we stopped racing until others changed there bodywork, other than punnishing my lad.
