I'm sorry how my post came across, I didn't intend to rubbish your contribution. Just the information relayed, which is clearly wrong or biased in some way.
I don't know what the hidden agenda is here, but there obviously is one. Certainly any unfettered input from the FIA would be impossible as the same part is used in other countries, although with timed qualfying I imagine the problem is unlikely to have been identified elsewhere.
As for making contact direct, I don't believe that individuals, without direct experience, i.e. an injured child, queing up at the MSA to discuss this would be helpful. The MSA must be well aware of the situation and for the moment have chosen to ignore the problem. In my opinion the only thing now that will change the situation is if the media become involved, which as previously mentioned could be disastrous for the future of the sport, if a safety spotlight is pointed at us.
