Starting out you might consider the Prokart class. The class maybe not as fast as some of the others but it is more economical. This could be important. Llandow in South Wales has a prokart sprint grid. Other circuits run endurance events. Learning to drive a prokart is a great grounding if you want to move to faster classes as you gain experience. Worth a thought.
Not far from Llandow,(11 miles), is the seaside town of Barry. The nearest sandy beach to Brum. Very popular in the 60s.
