No matter which class you enter they seem to have ok size grids. We run comer cadet up north but I have to say if you intend to run your lad aswell as yourself you are gonna need to go for the most reliable which is Honda. Just as good but they will run allday where as the comer will struggle to run for 5mins sitting on the grid. Time willbe a factor if you I tend to race also, especially if you find yourself racing in the heat after your lad! Unless you have someone to run him. One of my friends tried it and he ended up neglecting his lad a bit on the setup due to lack of time. If you want your lad to be competitive then you have to sacrifice something or get someone to run him or help out. Either way it's a great sport to get him into.
