Just been pondering some of the rather hazy areas in the proposed regs for next season and I have a few questions/thoughts...
I understand that the current design of chassis will still be allowed to race alongside CIK models (but with 2 bearings etc...). With 2 such different chassis one will almost certainly be quicker than the other... and if, as Tal-Ko claim, it is the current models, will they still be manufactured next year? Or will the kart to be on turn out to be an obselete one?!
If it's the CIK karts that are quicker, I feel for any trader/manufacturer who still has stocks of "old style" karts come Jan! I predict a lot of expensive and furstrating testing among the frontrunners as well.
Even if the CIK chassis have an advantage in the dry, (this probably depends on what tyres are eventually chosen) will it actually be possible to make them work with the red label wets, bearing in mind that torsion bars etc. will apparantly not be allowed?
Does anybody have any idea what's going to happen..?!
