I know what you're trying to say, but it is physically set in stone that peak acceleration occurs at the point of peak torque. Take your g(long) sensor and the point of max g(long) will occur exactly at peak torque.

When you have gears the situation is a little different because, whilst peak acceleration in any given gear will still be at peak torque, torque at the wheels will be greatest when selecting the gear that puts you highest in the BHP curve.
