As it states in the title CMR - Childrens Motorsports Restricted then it should be VAT free just like the race suits!

As I said earlier it is rather vague on the HMRC website, I see the helmet as protective clothing and under that category it is ZERO VAT.

Looks like this is a no win situation but as we are going to have to buy this helmet for our children due to forthcoming legislation then I really grudge having to pay VAT as to me that would be a tank of fuel down to Buckmore for us!
