Take the wheels,side pods and hubs off, lay a straight axle accoss the front king pins, move 2 metres away from the front of the kart, bend down and eye the front axle through to the rear axle

There should be no gap from one end to the other ie parrelel.

This is a quick check to see if you chassis is bent.

If you drape a white cloth over the rear bumper its easier to see the alignement of the axle as you eye them through.
