hi there
your best bet would be to fit the chain guard, pods and protector if needed and take it to an MSA scruitineer when they are free/not doing someone else's kart and ask them to take a once over and possibly check it as they would do for a normal kart.
from this they will be able to inform you of what needs to be changed and update to be MSA legal, also some helpful scrutineers will advise on parts that may be worn and may need replacing. during my last race i asked our scrutineer about the legality of some things i wished to do and they advised me accordingly so i can fit now. he also noticed a bearing that was loose and i was able to replace with a night to spare.
generally everybody is there to help so be nice and kind to them they will help you
hope this helps
