first a disclaimer

i an in no way involved with the larkhall orginisation except as an ex driver and now a flag marshal

a confusion occured when the paramedics checked in
during the radio coms check both medic 1 and medic 2 checked in as usual but unfortunaly nobody noticed that only one vehicle was present ( dont know whether the fault was with paramedic company or club orginisation yet two ambulances were there on the sat!!!)

during the first heat there were two seperate injuries req medical help. it was only then that it was noticed that there was only one vehcle on site.
both injured drivers recieved prompt medical asistance from the two paramedics in atendance but the club relised it could not continue the meeting with only one vehcle.

after a lot of phone calls no aditional equipped vehcle could be sourced for that day ( cost was not an issue)

my understanding was that the were only 11 late entries so that would not have been enough to reduce the numbers below 100.

a hard desision then had to be made by the orginisers.

the meting had to be reduced by 29 entries and the decision was made to cancel two classes to bring the munbers down below 100.

after protests by these classes ( understandable) the CoC asked for volinteers to withdraw but only 3 came forward so the CoC had no option but to abandon the meeting.

once the track was handed back to the club from the MSA free practice was run until 5pm

this has never happened before at larkhall and im sure a serious debrief will take place and procedures will be put in place to ensure it never happens again and larkhall will resume to give its excelent service the the karting comunity.
