hard to believe that out of the box engines with the "right setup" can challenge at a top level. i used to believe that was the case until today when i saw this lad move thru the field as he did! there are two local lads one of which is in 1st yr fks, both are v. good drivers but this lad drove thur 18 cadets in one heat from the back (within 4 laps) as i said im not putting this lad down, he was an exceptional driver but you could see the sheer power of his engine, and the two lad i have to say being there local track, knowing the lines..ect just looked average against this lad. out of the box engines and good carb setup dont do that.(added to which this lads engine cost him £6000 as he told us) so i think that speaks for its self.
as for your finish in fks lets wait to see how your engines fair in the dry, from what i gather all of fks has been a washout so far and while i know your lad is a v.good driver, even the best engines average out in the wet and thats when driver ability comes out (as with your lad) so lets see if the "out of the box engines" can perform in the dry against the top lads and teams. although this could also be a canny little opertunity to plug your team and services with such claims??? he he( im sure not! ;)
best of luck in fks.
