Aixro PFI lap times?

Unless I am mistaken,the best lap times for the first Aixro round at PFI in hot / sunny weather were no faster than TVKC clubbie Junior Rotax dry times over the winter.
Is that right? Was the track in good condition (we practiced there the day before and it seemed Ok then)
If so, what are the limits the Aixro's are hitting? I genuinely expected it to be quite a bit faster than anything else at the track, bearing in mind there are no gearbox times to compare against.
