Have to agree but didn't have the courage to say so!
Ok - my lad packed in karting 2 weeks before S1 but I'm still interested enough to want to know what the results are so when it says LIVE timing I do not think it unreasonable to expect LIVE timing even with a few gremlins here and there.
The age old argument about signal is a bit pathetic because either S1 knows in advance where the signal is likely to me weak in which case pre-warn people or do something with the local club to ensure the system works. Failing that - withdraw live timing.
Take for example Salbris in France which appears to be in the middle of nowhere but the results from European meetings there are on the web within 20 secs of each lap with running commentary.
So if S1's intention was to revamp itself for 2009 and position it as the UK's premier championship and was quoting LIVE timing as one of its USPs, then it should try and make sure it works.
Alternatively don't advertisie live timing and it will stop people like me with nothing better to do on a sunday afternoon from posting threads.
Having said all that, it worked ok for the senior pre-final and after a glitch is working for mini main final. Or at least it was.
I give up and will wait for full set of results on this site later on hopefully?
