This is all personal experience and conjecture. As yet I nor anyone else has seen any independent testing of any neck brace (Leatt or otherwise) to say that it is safer (or more dangerous). I wouldn't buy one at the risk that it would make things worse.
Would you buy a helmet that wasn't certified?
The fact that the manufacturer haven't made sure it is independently tested (for karts) worries me even more.
Incidently last June I hit a marshalls post at 95mph, rolled back onto track, got hit by 3 karts travelling at 100mph came out the kart flew 10 feet in the air and then got hit by two more karts while on the tarmac. No neck brace, no neck pain (broken shoulder blade hurt though).
So using the same theory you guys are using, no neck brace is better.
