My son and I have one on our kart. Made of a fairly tough (scrap) alloy it was cut to the shape of the underside of the floor tray and extended to cover the front cross tube, the two side rails at the waist and the cross tube behind the waist, Drilled appropriately (with an indent to protect the slightly longer floor tray bolts)it fits on to the floor tray bolts. The frame underside is completely unmarked. Easy to make and one look at the marks on the protector show how good it is. Have never had a second glance from the scrutineers.
