Re 8mile's comments on a certain drivers 'oscar nominated' performances in the clerk's office - it illustrates what rubbish the clerks have to put up with. I heard that he even burst in tears in front of the clerk to get some sympathy ?!
If Amy has a fault it is that she is too kind & helpful & sometimes does not believe that certain people would blatantly lie...which some of them do to a horrific extent....Alex lost the winter championship because a certain young lady competitor said he punched her in the stomach, which was a load of rubbish as he never touched her but she (& her mother) put on such a 'performance' that Amy felt obliged to doc Alex 3 places. It all started because she was 4.5 seconds off the pace & Alex couldn't miss her going into pylon, not expecting anyone to brake where she did.
Anyway, that's racing - we took our punishment & just got on with it....but Amy will learn, that there are some strange people out there. I do think though that those of us that love the sport could help the officials more than we do - they are just trying to organise good racing for us all.
Here's a new topic: Hot Lap, tyre cheats, & Demon Tweeks who have been ruining kart competiton for years by selling the stuff by the truck load. That's where I do blame the MSA greatly - the sniffer at Rye House was only testing for one solvent so the clever cheats use the other 3 or 4 solvents available that do the same thing. Alan Gow, are you awake - or does the MSA have shares in Demon Tweeks, they always advertise in the MSA magazine ??!!
