I saw the Leatt at Autosport in 2007 and the video looked very impressive p good enough to persuade me to part with over Ł200. this was soon after he wrote off a helmet when he rolled at Shenington.
My lad wore it at Whilton in a practice session - came off and said he did not like it, in the interest of `perceived' safety I made him try it a couple more times but he prefers racing without it. Some Physios I know have said they favour neck braces as they think it would help prevent whiplash injuries but in fairness they do not watch karting and have not seen kids after a crash.
Neck braces may be compulsory in other countries - the cadets invited to the last Stars round from USA commented on the lack of these but they also said no one wears chest protectors over here!
