Following the success of the drop down front bumper the CIK have announced the introduction of a collapsible rear bumper.

This is to combat the high incidence of brake testing by drivers towards the end of races to gain an advantage.

The bumper will unclip and drag on the floor, being tethered by cables.

immediate retirement will be necessary.
