You have to be careful if you go the Helicoil route.

If the larger screw that has been put in does not leaave enough material to produce a good thread for the Helicoil, you won't get a second chance.

I get this problem when people strip 5mm bead retainers and put a 6mm screw in.

Using a Time-sert will give you a better chance as they have a thicker wall.

The time-sert may need to be shortened before it's put in with some adhesive to ensure a complete seal on the thread.

I checked with Nick today and he does have 4mm Time-sert.
