helicoil might do it and much cheaper / easier to get hold of. kits on ebay.M4 x 1.5D is normally the shortest available which will provide a 6mm deep thread. I think 2.5D are available at 10mm long or deep.
Kits are about £20 with all the items in - coils, drill bits insert tool and tap. You might have to grind the end of the tap down to create a plug tap if your going into what is effectively a blind hole.
