yep, its been like this for ages, my lad got disqualified for breaching the track limits on that particular corner in 2015, and there was no white line, the MSA just could not enforce it with consistency, I complained to the WMKC and at the following meeting, they relaxed the run-off rule and allowed everyone to cross the rumble strip and "keep it safe", its only a matter of time before something really bad happens on that corner.
On test days at Whilton I was shocked that trolleys were allowed on the circuit while karts were still running around, not the best omen for safety.
I understand in years gone by it was a wood-chip run-off, if you look at other circuits, particularly kimbolton, they have a real agressive set of rumble strips and white lines, and you do not dare run your kart over them. really I think its high time Whilton put their hands in their pocket and put down a proper white line and a more aggressive rumble strip.
