Knighty, as far as I have experienced the Honda engine builders charge the same to all, no discounts or premiums. I've seen massive engines there that are owned by novices so there is also an amount of luck of the draw and being in the right place at the right time as if you were selling a product and service would you let a showpiece item go to somewhere it may not get any recognition (not being negative about the novice guy) maybe not but if someone has the money ready to buy I'm sure the tuner will not turn it down as they're in it to make money as I'm sure you appreciate.

Yep a bigger engine helps but it is a more level playing field than it has been in Honda and it's always an easy excuse to blame engine rather than concentrate on the driver to get better performance. As for getting better results sincve you have been tuning.......is your driver not improving which could be the reason for said results?

When we 1st started we tried to get a big engine and were told by people who who, don't worry about engine, get the driving right. If the driver can be in the ballpark on what you are on when you do find an engine it will be much easier and this is the advice I would offer that way if anything is off you have more of a change of being competitive rahter than relying on a 'big' engine.

As for waiting until you are in juniors.....I'm not sure this will cure your ills...lol
