As diy 71 said, there was a request to support the windfarm development from the karting community. This would / could have directly helped move that development forward. Part of the development was the resurfacing the whole track including a track extension. This would be part of resurfacing and building access roads to the turbines. Based on planning etc. this was only ever going to be done late 2016 / early 2017, maybe in time for the 2017 season. Planning etc. is on going and is subject to local oppositions. Other than that approx. 100K needs to be raised to resurface the track as it is now. Fulbeck are raising some of this money through the IKR series etc. But they are also investing a lot of it in facilities and general improvements for superone, hence less for track resurfacing. The track is quite smooth to race on although it might not look like it - much smoother than the extension at PFI and wilton mill!!
