My son rolled his kart last year and his V2 CMR helmet basically saved his life after he smashed his head into the floor on his way over, I replaced it with another......its a fully MSA legal helmet compliant to SNELL CMR2007 regs, and was only Ł80, which believe me is great value, it really is a good quality helmet for a cadet, we just measured up my sons head, and applied the measurement guidelines, ordered and it arrived, fitted perfectly.....if your paying 2-300 for a helmet, personally I think its just not necessary, but horses for courses and all that.

Its also worth getting a smoked visor for really sunny days for another Ł25

Do not get a motorbike helmet as they are different shapes and they have no place on an MSA race kart
