Hi All,
I am looking to help my 12 yr old son with his karting and am trying to work out the best step to take with him. He is returning to the track following a long hospital stay and much of what we had started is now out of date. He has his own Honda powered Simon Wright Kart, in great condition with little use. However I am a complete novice on running and maintaining the kart, and am not sure this is the best route? He ultimately wants to get his MSA licence and race which I know would need sponsorship etc, but what is the best way to get there? Are championships where you use the karts at the circuit as good a place to start as trying to do the clubs at Rye House, PFI, etc where you can take your own kart for practice? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Jon
