I'm in 177 Rotax, my OTK kart with a few light bits on is about 77KG, so 100KG for the lump in the seat with suit and helmet, no naked racing allowed even in IKR. I lost a couple of stone from where I was and hover around 97KG (getting me bang on the weight allowing 3KG for suit helmet etc) to 103KG when will power is weak and eating takes over, which is the current status Q, but not racin for another 4 weeks - I can loose 1KG a week!! I'm still a stone over a fit weight for me, but getting in 177 has given me a purpose to lose weight other than having to buy large new clothes and avoiding living a shorter life!!! 105KG to 97KG is just over a stone so not too far away. They say 1KG is worth about a tenth of a second on the track? I'm about 6 foot 2". You should fit in an OTK kart - just, be careful though you won't fit in all karts, and don't just fit the seat to silly too far rear position to fit in; it will upset the handling of the kart, try to stick to the recommended seat position for height of driver and adjust pedal position to suit; my foot rest is over the front chassis tube!! Don't go for gearbox as a newbie - too complex to start with. Decent 177 grids at Fulbeck non MSA, also huge 177 grids at Forest edge. Think Rye house runs 177.
