thats very true Richydehav. I thought it was a very low response but possible the correct response in reality.
I look at it this way. Theres little point having a rep for all drivers. Even on the subject of contact driving you have many different opinions. That in itself means that 1 rep can't passionately express the opinon of most. Were all bias, and thats reflected in everything. This isn't a issue, but it seems committee meetings and AGM's are not really how Karters want to engage. Sadly some seem to think a Facebook rant holds less value than a rant at a once a year meeting. I on the other hand think a Facebook rant is an opportunity to engage with a customer and either, Resolve, Clarify or explain.
The BKDA acts as a central hub, Its a great place for club/series organisers, suppliers, organisations to get a gist of views, problems, and ideas. What a great place to have instant access to your customers and potential customers to address, resolve, or clarify items.
I guess like business' use social media for customer interaction so can karting. Lets be frank, without Facebook I believe we wouldn't have F100 90's and x30 expanding as fast and so quickly. So it obviously works! Look how mad LGM went over Xmas 2014!
We live in a very fast moving world... Its now way to late waiting months for a committee meeting. People may have left or moved on before you can engage with them.
Anyway! Im not too fused which organisations use the BKDA page....but I'm sure those that frequent more often will benefit. Lets not forget MSA racing is not the only karting. IKR is also represented at the BKDA :-) Thats the beauty of whats being created . Some people need to be less scared of what the drivers/Customers are doing and embrace it.
