Nicely argued..... but.....
It's not just the longitudinal and lateral weight distribution. You have ignored the vertical dimension in changing the CofG, vertically. (Yes I do know you will not have forgotten it, you're too good at these things, you just haven't mentioned it).
However, I think you have ignored that the head moves identically on a driver who has moved his seat by 20mm or not. The kart 'reacts' to the driver's head movement in both cases BUT..... having moved the seat, that adds another movement of the lat/long CofG, so long as the head movement remains the same in both cases.
If the average driver altered his head movement to counteract the new CofG of the kart, you'd be right. Most don't..... and thus, you aren't! (tee hee!)
