It would (probably) be slightly harder for me to get witness statements on my accidents as many of them could well be DEAD by now! I can remember at least 5 where I ended upside down.... karting was quite rough in those days too! There have probably been even more but I may have forgotten some. Yes, I DO know what that says about my driving abilities...... even though it's been over a 50 year period in karts.
I still have one of my Simpsons (as a memento) even though it now has a hole in the side of it from the accident that wrote it off....
I'd still like to know how your 1 accident 'evidence' trumps my 5 and all the other who have survived kart crashes without neck braces.
A agree with Richy, I would NEVER advise people NOT to wear a neck-brace but, similarly, the very LAST thing I'd do is recommend that others do while the (supposed) experts at the MSA do NOT recommend them.... yet!
If you want your lad to wear one, that's up to you two. I just won't accept the blanket recommendation while there is no PROOF about their safety, either way!
